Smallholder farmer and entrepreneur Teluvina Chiwanga, from Tanzania’s Dodoma region, transformed her livelihood through sorghum farming, vegetable cultivation and other business ventures.
By diversifying her sources of income and expanding her agricultural activities, she was able to improve her family’s financial stability and gradually turn years of hard work into tangible progress. One of her greatest achievements was completing the family home she had spent ten years building — a milestone that reflects her determination, resilience and growing economic independence.
Her journey demonstrates how investing in agriculture and entrepreneurship can create new opportunities, strengthen household incomes and help women build more secure futures for themselves and their families.
