For 40 years, Farm Africa has partnered with stakeholders to protect the environment while improving agriculture and livelihoods. Through innovative approaches, our communities are restoring landscapes, improving production, creating jobs and protecting natural resources. Farm Africa helped pioneer participatory forest management in Ethiopia.
Farm Africa has delivered innovative conservation and livelihoods programmes across Ethiopia, including the country’s first REDD+ project in the Bale Eco-Region.
We have restored rangelands, supported climate-smart agriculture and resilient value chains, promoted sustainable natural resource management and ecotourism, contributed to the UNESCO recognition of the Anywaa Biosphere Reserve, strengthened collaboration between host and refugee communities in Dollo Ado, and advanced gender equality through transformative programmes.
