Farm Africa takes on the Thames Path Challenge

Farm Africa is excited to be one of the partner charities for the brand new Thames Path Challenge, an epic endurance walk following the iconic Thames Path National Trail. We’re looking for people to take on the challenge and walk either the 50km daytime route or the ultimate 100km overnight route. With the help of your fellow walkers and a good pair of walking boots it promises to be an experience you will never forget!

Starting close to Putney Bridge, walkers follow the Thames west out of London past the historic sights of Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace. The 50km walkers finish when they arrive at the scenic Runnymede Meadows where the Magna Carta was signed. The 100km walkers continue on as darkness falls, following the Thames as it meanders its way past Windsor and across the open countryside. They finish some time after day break with brunch in the picturesque town of Henley on Thames.

When you sign up for the Thames Path Challenge in support of Farm Africa we’ll provide you with:

  • A fundraising pack full of ideas and inspiration to help you smash that target
  • A Farm Africa t-shirt or vest to walk in
  • Constant support from our enthusiastic team covering all aspects of the challenge, from training and nutrition to fundraising
  • Regular newsletters updating you on the team’s progress

If you’re interested in taking on the Thames Path Challenge to support the work of Farm Africa then please get in touch with Gila at [email protected] or on 020 7841 5163 for more information.
