Chefs’ Football kicks off again for Farm Africa
After a three-year hiatus, Chefs’ Football is back on Sunday 10 July in Birmingham!
Farm Africa is delighted to announce that Michelin starred Chef Paul Foster (Salt, Stratford upon Avon) is once again welcoming teams from across the UK food and hospitality industry to compete for the coveted Chefs’ Football trophy and raise funds for farmers in eastern Africa.
The five-a-side tournament will take place at GOALS, Star City in Birmingham with teams of seven to ten players at an entry fee of £20 per person.
Chefs’ Football is the brainchild of Paul Foster, who organised his first tournament as part of his fundraising efforts when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Farm Africa with a team of chefs including Ashley Palmer-Watts in 2013.
Since then, the football fundraiser has become a wonderful opportunity to unite leading chefs and restaurants, food producers, suppliers, retailers and the media in raising over £20,000 to help farmers in eastern Africa grow more, sell more and sell for more, while protecting the environment for years to come.
Chefs’ Football also offers sponsorship opportunities for companies who would like to showcase their brand on the day and directly engage with chefs and suppliers from across the restaurant industry.
If you would like to sponsor the event or if you have any questions please contact Steph from the Farm Africa events team on [email protected]Â or 020 7841 5160 for further information.
