New film on fish farming in Kenya

Farm Africa has produced an detailed film which takes an in-depth look at fish farming on western Kenya aqua shops project.

The film, Making Fish Farming Pay, explains how the project plays a valuable role in supporting fish farming in Kenya, by providing training for fish farmers as well as the equipment they need such as fish feed.

Aqua shops owners have been carefully selected for their training in pond construction and fish husbandry. They also receive training in business management so they can become the rural entrepeneurs of tomorrow.

The film interviews both aqua shop owners and the Minister for Fisheries in the Kenyan government, who explains the major difference the project is making.
