Once in a lifetime chance to run the Masai Mara half marathon!

This is your chance to join a small group of Farm Africa supporters who have secured places in the exclusive 2011 Kenya Airways Masai Mara Marathon on Saturday 19th November.

Imagine setting off into the Masai Mara National Reserve in the early morning light with just 600 other runners as you embark on this spectacular challenge, with the option to run a half marathon or a 5km route.

There are just four places left on the trip, which will also include the chance to see firsthand some of Farm Africa’s work and to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Masai Mara and the Rift Valley.

Tim Jury, a long standing supporter of Farm Africa, is organising the trip with his Friends of Farm group. He says,

“As a farmer myself I was inspired to support Farm Africa’s work many years ago, and having visited the projects myself I can clearly see the positive difference being made amongst farming communities. The Masai Mara half marathon will be a fantastic personal challenge for all involved but also provide an opportunity to raise funds for Farm Africa’s work surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery the world has to offer.”

We are asking runners to pledge to raise at least £1000 for Farm Africa, with the costs of the trip being covered by participants. The trip will take place between the 9th and 21st November.
