Chef Tom Booton becomes ambassador for Farm Africa

Farm Africa is delighted to announce that celebrated chef Tom Booton has joined the charity as an ambassador. Tom will support Farm Africa’s work helping smallholder farmers and small businesses across eastern Africa to unlock the transformative potential of sustainable and effective agriculture.
As part of his new role, Tom will headline the culinary experience at Farm Africa’s 40th anniversary celebration event taking place in London in June 2025. The event will bring together supporters and partners to celebrate four decades of the charity’s work helping farmers increase the quality, quantity and value of their produce, so that they can support their families with more resilient livelihoods.
Tom Booton said:
“I’m delighted to become an ambassador for Farm Africa. I’m passionate about great produce and where our food comes from, so supporting a charity that works hand-in-hand with farmers to improve livelihoods and food systems in Africa really resonated with me. I can’t wait to get involved, and I’m especially looking forward to cooking at the anniversary event this summer.”
Farm Africa Chief Executive Dan Collison said:
“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Tom Booton as an ambassador. Tom’s enthusiasm, talent and passion for food make him a fantastic fit for Farm Africa. We’re thrilled he’ll be joining us to mark our 40th anniversary, and we look forward to working with him to shine a spotlight on the challenges and opportunities facing farmers across eastern Africa.”
