In eastern Africa’s rural communities the challenges of extreme poverty, food insecurity and biodiversity loss are being intensified by climate change and global economic instability. Removing barriers and supporting smallholder farmers to claim power, as the backbone of eastern Africa, is the key to addressing each of these challenges.
For almost 40 years Farm Africa has worked in eastern Africa, developing regenerative agriculture practices, restoring soil quality and supporting farmers to improve the quality and quantity of what they produce, to farm in harmony with nature and restore biodiversity.
All whilst strengthening every aspect of farming supply chains, because it is not enough just to grow more and grow better. The whole thing falls apart without access to markets, and if we all fail to address climate change.
The impact of this work is transformational, for this generation and the next. Join us in shaping our vision for global agriculture, for the communities we work with, for us all.
"As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say. I just watch what they do."
