A total of 2.8 million Birr (UK £44,700) has been earnt by Participatory Forest Management Cooperatives and Participatory Rangeland Management Cooperatives supported by the Bale Eco-Region (BER) Phase II project in Ethiopia since 2019.

Building back school girls' confidence with sanitary towels

Thanks to funding from the Waitrose & Partners Foundation, teenage girls from low-income backgrounds in Kenya now have access to sanitary towels since Farm Africa distributed ten boxes to their school.

Safe water returns to Benatsemay and Hammer districts

Farm Africa has rehabilitated a number of water facilities in South Omo, Ethiopia as part of the Livestock for Livelihoods project, following the collapse of the local water system, which left hundreds of residents without water for three months.

With funding from the IKEA Foundation through AGRA, Farm Africa is supporting 50,000 farmers in Embu and Tharaka Nithi in Kenya to promote regenerative agriculture methods which build farmers’ resilience to climate extremes, improve soil health and boost yields, enabling farmers to protect their land, and their livelihoods.
