Foodies support Farm Africa whilst dining out at a number of UK restaurants

Throughout spring 2015, restaurants from across the UK have been supporting Farm Africa by adding a discretionary £1 donation on to their diners bills. The donations are an effective way to raise significant funds for Farm Africa whilst also growing awareness of the organisations work amongst the general public.

Speaking about why the campaign was important to him, Andreas Antona, Chef Owner of Simpsons Restaurant and The Cross, Kenilworth commented:

‘I’m delighted that both Simpsons Restaurant and The Cross, Kenilworth are supporting Dine for Good. By adding just £1 to our diners’ bills we can make a huge difference to the lives of families in eastern Africa. Initiatives like this are a great way for chefs to raise funds for causes close to their heart.’

Just £1 could provide a farmer with 1kg of specialist seeds to help grow a future free from hunger and we can’t wait to see how much the restaurants listed below have collectively raised.

Participating restaurants

Bar Boulud (London), Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (London), Fleur De Lis (Bristol), Grain Store (London), Les Deux Salons (London), Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa (Wiltshire), The New Harp Inn (Hereford), Simpsons Restaurant (Birmingham), The Cross Kenilworth (Warwickshire), The New Angel (London), The Pony and Trap (Bristol), The Stables Restaurant (St Albans)
