Farm Africa runners on track for Marathon

A team of Farm Africa fundraisers will be donning their running vests this weekend as they push themselves around the world’s most famous marathon course in London.

And they can be sure of some especially colourful and enthusiastic support from Farm Africa supporters gathered down on London’s Embankment.

Magical event by the Thames

The London Marathon is a magical event. Thousands of runners and even more supporters create a carnival atmosphere along the route which passes some of the world’s most iconic sites and buildings like Tower Bridge and Big Ben.

And in their commitment to raise as much money as possible for Farm Africa, our runners this year sum up the very best of what the London Marathon is all about.

Chris Watts, one of this year’s runners, summed up the sense of excitement that so many runners have when taking on the London course:

“Apart from crossing the finish line, I love the atmosphere at these events, there’s always a real buzz at the start with the cheering of the crowd, a real adrenalin fix”.

The Farm Africa team

Farm Africa wishes this year’s runners the very best of luck for their big day on Sunday!
