Establishing and strengthening women's Village Savings and Loan Associations in Ethiopia

With funding from the European Union and Government of Germany through GIZ, Farm Africa has helped women living in Benishangul Gumuz, Ethiopia, set up village savings and loan associations (VSLAs). By uniting to save together, the women are making funds available to invest in the development of small businesses, such as a butcher's shop.
