Managing the landscape in the Central Rift Valley

However, uncoordinated development and poverty are undermining the resilience of rural communities there. The CRV project has helped local communities to increase and diversify their incomes by engaging in a variety of sustainable businesses, ranging from growing crops to beekeeping.

Farm Africa and Sida launch new Nature-Based Solutions program in Ethiopia

Farm Africa and the Swedish Embassy in Ethiopia have signed a $11.5 million grant agreement for a new program, Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable and Inclusive Development. The four-year program aims to sustainably manage forests, conserve biodiversity, build communities’ resilience to climate change and develop sustainable livelihoods through holistic nature-based solutions.
