Stories from Uganda

We'd like to introduce you to some of the people in Uganda, who with your support, have been able to build successful farming businesses and take charge of their futures.

Farmers in Uganda are using the nutritious orange-fleshed sweet potato to improve their incomes and the health of their families. Innovative farmers like Joyce are looking for ways to sell excess crops across borders to buyers in Kenya, continuing the growth of her business and allowing her to improve her families living standards. Female coffee farmers, like Jennifer, are working with Farm Africa to earn more from their efforts. Through training in agricultural techniques such as pruning, spacing and weed control they can sustainably boost yields and improve the quality of their coffee.
