Farm Africa (FA) and Self Help Africa (SHA) are committed to sustainable, long-term development solutions to the challenges faced by smallholder farmers. A vital component of ‘sustainability’ in the context of our work is economic sustainability at the farmer level. Over the past few years, both organisations have been developing and testing a range of innovative models for sustainable financing. A study is now being proposed to understand the various models being applied at present (June 2015)

The purpose of the impact evaluation is to assess the impact of the project and progress made towards achievement of the objectives in order to inform Farm Africa’s future women’s empowerment work. The study will identify intended and unintended outcomes, the process of change, and relevant best practices, lessons learned as well as challenges arising from programme implementation. (June 2015)
