Strengthening The First Mile

Small and medium agriculture businesses in East Africa play a vital role in connecting small-scale farming to wider markets, but their growth is held back by a lack of appropriate financial products. Farm Africa’s Maendeleo Agricultural Enterprise Fund (MAEF) addresses this critical financing gap by providing working capital and support in agronomy, business and marketing to rural enterprises.

BRACED Market Approaches to Resilience

An overview of the Market Approaches to Resilience (MAR) programme that will test market-based approaches to improving the resilience of vulnerable households to climate change in the lowlands of Ethiopia. Part of the UK Government funded BRACED programme, MAR is being implemented by a consortium led by Farm Africa.
