Kenyan youth group takes a leap forward

Farm Africa’s Baraka youth group has taken a big leap forward in farming technology, thanks to a loan from the Kenyan Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF). The loan will make a big difference to their cabbage farming activities through the addition of modern farming equipment. It means they can now buy two large greenhouses, a drip irrigation system, and an extensive farmer’s kit, consisting of essential equipment, resources, training and insurance.

Call for concept notes 2013: Innovation Incubator Fund

The Innovation Incubator Fund will further develop innovations that meet the priorities and needs of smallholder farmers. It will fund project ideas for a period of 12 to 18 months. The funding grant level is GBP13,650.
