Farm Africa to promote aquaculture at agribusiness trade fair

Farm Africa’s stand at the forthcoming 2017 Agribusiness Trade Fair held at the University of Eldoret in Kenya will highlight how aquaculture is helping Kenya’s next generation of agrientrepreneurs rise to the top.

Fish farming experts from across the world will gather at the trade fair, which runs from 21 to 23 September, to highlight the benefits of a strong aquaculture industry for entrepreneurs, environmentalists, consumers and foodies alike.

The event provides an opportunity to meet key players from across the global aquaculture supply chain from pond to plate. Farm Africa’s stand, in the Dutch pavilion, provides a space to learn, exchange notes with others working in the sector and learn about how your business can take advantage of a raft of new technologies and innovations.

“Whether you’ve never heard of aquaculture or you’ve been working in the sector for years, this event has something for you”, says Arnoud Meijberg, Team Leader of Farm Africa’s KMAP Project. “With Kenya’s growing love for fish and increasing fish prices, now is the time to get involved in fish farming.”

At the Dutch pavilion a roster of aquaculture experts, including farmers, traders and suppliers will be on hand to offer practical advice on how to optimise production and reduce waste. A group of aquaculture experts from the Netherlands, including companies such as Til Aqua, Upande and Jambo Fish, will be attending the event, offering exciting opportunities for learning from established agribusinesses working in the sector. Senior Dutch experts, with over 25 years of aquaculture experience, will be on hand to provide you with tailored advice on how to prepare your company for growth and make the most of market opportunity”
