13 November 2012

Leading London chefs Ashley Palmer-Watts, Bruno Loubet and Paul Foster line up with their team to show support for Farm Africa

Ashley Palmer-Watts is tonight celebrating his recent trip to a Farm Africa project in western Kenya by cooking a unique meal for a glittering selection of food industry leaders.

Ashley, who is Head Chef at the celebrated restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, recently visited Farm Africa's Aqua Shops project in Kisumu, western Kenya. He stayed in the heart of the community with local famer Joyce Kadenge and her family, helping Joyce with all her daily tasks, including harvesting tilapia fish from her fish pond.

Ashley has been joined by fellow leading chefs Paul Foster of Tuddenham Mill and Bruno Loubet of Bistrot Loubet for the meal, which is being hosted at Sainsbury's London headquarters.

Ashley will be telling the guests, who are leading executives from the food industry, about his trip and how he wants to continue his support for Farm Africa. There will also be a fundraising auction of some incredible prizes including a print 'Studio' by Pablo Picasso, and a stay for two at a Mandarin Oriental Hotel dinner and spa.

Before the guests sat down to dinner, Ashley encouraged the guests to dig as deep as they can.
