Farm Africa was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sir Martin Wood OBE FRS DL. Sir Martin was the brother of the late Sir Michael Wood, who co-founded Farm Africa with David Campbell in 1985. Sir Martin was appointed president of Farm Africa in 1987, and had been a very strong supporter of the organisation.

Selly Chebet discovered the potential of vegetable farming thanks to Farm Africa's Growing Futures project, funded by Aldi UK. Since taking up farming, Selly has earned enough money to fund her return to education.
