Church fundraising ideas

From giving things up and donating the money you save, to simply holding a collection for Farm Africa after your sunday service, there are so many ways you can help this year!

Whatever you do, big or small, will make a huge difference to the lives of African farmers.

Service collection

A simple collection during or after a service is an easy way to raise funds for Farm Africa. You could use the story provided in the fundraising pack during the service to help people understand the difference their donations can make. And if you order Gift Aid envelopes too, donations will be worth a third more.

Give it up

Everyone is familiar with the idea of giving things up for Lent! Why not challenge members of your church community to raise sponsorship in return for giving up their favourite food or drink. Or ask them to donate the money they save by not buying their favourite treat.

Community sale

You could sell cakes, crafts or plants. Or perhaps even a mix of them all! With a little bit of planning, this is a great way to bring your whole community together, whilst helping farmers in Africa at the same time.

Easter Egg hunt

Why not organise an easter egg hunt for the children (and grown ups who are young at heart!).  You could ask people to pay a small fee to enter, then watch them rush to find the eggs!

We'd love to hear about your fundraising plans so we can offer you help and advice!

Please feel free to contact us on info@farmafrica.org or 020 7430 0440.

We believe that praying for the less fortunate is important, but actual practical help is essential. Just providing food, although sometimes essential, doesn't help to solve the problem long term.
