200,000 hectares of forest across Ethiopia’s Oromia, Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples (SNNP), Benishangul Gumuz and Amhara regions are now under community management. That’s an area of land more than twice the size of New York City.

Farmers in Babati district are turning to sesame after learning of Farm Africa's work in teaching smallholders how to make the crop climate-tolerant and profitable. Farm Africa has been working with sesame farmers in Tanzania’s Babati district since 2010 – and our successes since then have been widely reported in local media.
With funding from the IKEA Foundation through AGRA, Farm Africa is supporting 50,000 farmers in Kenya to promote regenerative agriculture methods, which build farmers’ resilience to climate extremes, improve soil health and boost yields.
