You can help change lives this Christmas

Two children in Dagoretti, eating their school lunch Two children in Dagoretti, eating their school lunch

By coming together to sing carols and fundraise, you are helping children and young people in Africa look forward to a Christmas free from hunger.

In Dagoretti, a slum area in one of the poorest parts of Kenya’s capital city Nairobi, many children and young people don’t always know where their next meal is coming from.

On Christmas day – like every other day - many children will have nothing more than a bowl of maize with barely a vegetable in sight. With little money and almost no food security they are at high risk of malnutrition.

But that is all about to change. Thanks to supporters like you, we can help the young people of Dagoretti learn to grow vegetables at their schools and youth clubs.

The money you raise could help set up a vegetable garden where children can learn to grow nutritious vegetables such as kale, spinach and tomatoes.

These vegetables will provide many of the vitamins lacking in the children’s diets, greatly improving levels of nutrition. And because the children will be helping to grow the vegetables, they will learn practical farming skills too.

We would not be able to help change the lives of children in eastern Africa without your support. The money you raise will help ensure more children have a nutritious meal to eat on Christmas day, and every day.

Please sign up to Sing for their Supper and help children in eastern Africa this Christmas.
