With the right tools and teaching, Hassen's crops will thrive
You could sponsor a group like Hassen's Solodas Undaneita Group in the hot, dry Gewane district of Ethiopia. An invasive thorny shrub called Prosopis covers much of the land there. You could provide the tools and training farmers need to clear the Prosopis and use their land to grow maize, onions and tomatoes.

You can help Elizabeth's family stop relying on food aid
Elizabeth's husband Willi is a member of the Muuwo Self Help Group. They live in Kitui, Kenya which suffers frequent droughts. Like many families in the district, they rely on food aid to survive. You could help Elizabeth's family and many others provide for themselves, by growing drought-tolerant crops and using water saving techniques such as drip irrigation.

You can give a group like Grace's a new lease of life
Diseases like root rot, rosette disease and mosaic virus were seriously damaging Grace's crops – leaving her and her fellow members of the Tubasalisa Women's Group with less and less food. Your sponsorship could help a group like hers to grow disease-resistant varieties of beans and groundnuts to feed their families.

Specialist sesame seeds will change Leonila's life
Many of Tanzania's sesame farmers don't have access to the high-quality seeds they need to almost double their crop sizes. They also struggle to get a good price for their produce locally. So we're working with groups like Leonila's to establish community seed farms and marketing cooperatives so they can grow more, sell it for a higher price and pay for food, schooling and medicines.
