Waitrose Foundation logo

Waitrose Foundation

The Waitrose Foundation and Farm Africa have been working together since 2017. Farm Africa manages the Foundation’s programme of activities in Kenya with the aim of improving the livelihoods of employees and their families in the Waitrose & Partners supply chain.

Every time customers buy a product with a Waitrose Foundation logo, their purchase includes a contribution to the Foundation, which helps invest back into farmer and worker communities, increasing income opportunities and improving access to education and healthcare.

Farm Africa conducted detailed assessments with farm workers across seven supplier farms. Based on our findings, we collaborated with farm workers to develop a programme of projects around five thematic areas: Access to Education, Access to Finance, Health & Wellbeing, Water & Sanitation, and Environment & Green Energy.
