A healthy, hearty school lunch is essential for children to pay attention in class, have the energy to play with their friends and stay healthy. But for children in the Dagoretti district of Nairobi, a school lunch is even more important – it might be the only proper meal they get each day.
At the moment lunch at many schools in Dagoretti is maize and split peas. This lunch neither provides the children with vitamins nor protects them from malnutrition.
Will you help Farm Africa establish school vegetable gardens so children can have nutritious lunches?

Help them grow nutritious lunches
Donate today and help schools in Dagoretti grow nutritious lunches.
You can help us boost school lunches and give children the energy and vitamins they need to excel at school and play with friends. When supporting our Young Urban Farmers Project you will help Farm Africa turn the current school lunch in Dagoretti's schools into a meal packed with vitamins.
“We feel that children need to eat properly, which is why we have partnered with Farm Africa to set up a vegetable garden at our school". Alice, Dagoretti's school's senior teacher.

How does it work?
Farm Africa’s Young Urban Farmers Project focuses on giving tools, equipment and training to schoolchildren and young people in Dagoretti, so they can set up vegetable gardens and grow nutritious food.
Say GOODBYE to malnutrition with us!
This Christmas, please help us establish thriving school vegetable gardens so children in Dagoretti can escape malnutrition.
Unlike in the UK, school term in Kenya runs from January to December and we need to get everything ready before end of December.
And to make your gift go even further – Farm Africa’s corporate partners, ABP Food Group and Moy Park, will be kindly matching online donations from 17 November until midnight on 1 December. Donate today and see your gift make twice the impact.
You can help us give a better future to malnourished children in Dagoretti by donating today!
