Judith is one of nine senior women from the UK food industry taking part in Farm Africa's Big Beehive Build.

Mosquito bites - still at 3, Gin and Tonics - not as many as last night, embarrassing and noisy toilet moments - 0, bee stings - 0, blisters - 2, beehives built - 89 !!! Beehives painted - 0

More excitement yesterday when Jonathan got very stung again. He's now very swollen and his left hand looks like a blown up rubber glove that Morris dancers tie to the top of their dancing poles. He is putting on a brave face! The big news is, that we have built 89 hives ...we would have finished 90, but we ran out of building materials! So we will finish off the last one today and then paint them all!

The ladies of the community cooked us lunch yesterday; a delicious bean stew and rice, with the most delicious creamy avocadoes I have ever tasted! This was finished off with some fresh sugar cane for dessert. This whole adventure has been a real lesson in organisation and jas stressed the importance of having a plan ...I'd like to think our systematic approach to the tasks in hand has played a large part in our progress to date as well as the shear amount of horse power we've put into it. Our ingenious "patented" wire cutting technology drew much admiration from the Erri community and was quite a crowd puller which you can see from the photos! I think we may have started something here and it could well be part of our lasting legacy!

As we approach our final day with the people of Erri we are all feeling a sense of achievement and pride but also a little sad to be leaving everyone... we only just got into our stride and mastered the toilet facilities and it will be time to leave! Today is going to be special...
